It’s not just about adding something soft. There are lots of ways to add extra cushion — ranging from cheap cloth fibers to gels and wool. Some companies call the padding they weave into the top quilt a pillow-top mattress… but, just like pillows, not all padding is created equal.

We pad our mattresses with super-soft, sustainable, and carefully harvested organic wool, and our wool comes from sheep raised humanely under organic farming practices and fed an organic diet. Plus, wool provides moisture-wicking for all those sweaty nights (hey, it’s natural), and temperature regulation.

Coils come in all sorts of shapes, forms, and sizes. From s-shaped coils that link together, to ultra-luxury, individually-wrapped coils that provide premium support and longevity, making your night’s sleep undisturbed even when your partner is sitting up, turning over, or climbing into bed after you’re already asleep.

The coils in our mattresses are individually wrapped for full body-contouring comfort, giving you balanced support for proper postural alignment. They’re also encased in GOTS-approved organic polyester fabric, and assembled without the use of any glue or adhesives, giving you a healthy night’s sleep.

Luxury, Handmade Online Mattress Company

Cover fabrics.

Our fabric covers are made from certified-organic cotton grown in the US. The fabric is conditioned to last, and treated with the ultimate care at every step of the process. The cover fabrics are certified organic to the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS).

Our elegantly designed stitch patterns are nice to look at, but we do it for both style and substance — we’re having cake and eating it, too. The cross-stitching forms a cellular structure that makes each part of the mattress strong on its own and ready for whatever you can throw at it (rubber sheets not included). But you can’t do it without the strongest industrial threads available — and that’s what we put to work to make our mattresses. Plus, we cross-stitch and triple-stitch seams to ensure all that pillowy goodness we put inside your mattress can stay intact for decades.

Organic materials.

With our Sleep365 brand, and with our partners at Naturepedic, we want to use the highest quality and highest standards we can when it comes to sourcing and sustainability. Our mattresses use organic cottons and plant-based fibers, and are built with an eye on low-waste manufacturing.

Naturepedic products all meet the organic and non-toxic standards of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and/or the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS). They’re also made from organic cottons, wools, and non-GMO plant-based materials. Plus they’re GREENGUARD® Gold Certified, which means they’re filled with the safest materials around, good for hospitals, schools, and people with high sensitivity to allergens and toxins.

There’s more. But we’ll stop.

When you’re ready to buy a mattress, make sure you don’t get charmed by mediocre components hiding behind fancy trademarked terms. Be sure to get the real scoop on those luscious foams and swirly coils. And, if the company’s doing it right, you’ll see how much their materials really matter.
