Will this mattress protector change the feel of my mattress?

This organic mattress protector won’t dramatically change the feel of your mattress. You'll still experience the support and firmness level of your mattress beneath it. If you are looking to make your mattress more plush, we recommend an organic mattress topper.

Will this protector fit deep-pocket or pillow-top mattresses?

Our mattress protector pad is designed with a generous 16” depth that can accommodate most deep-pocket or pillow-top mattresses, even allowing for initial organic cotton shrinkage.

How often should I wash the mattress protector?

For general upkeep, it’s best to wash the mattress protector every one to two months. Adjust frequency based on your individual needs, especially if it’s exposed to spills, sweat or allergens.

Is TPU waterproofing safe?

Yes. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is a non-toxic, PFAS-free material used in medical and food-grade applications. Unlike PVC or vinyl, it produces no off-gassing and contains no chlorine, plasticizers, or heavy metals. It's the safest waterproofing technology available for bedding.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean. The protector is designed to maintain its waterproof performance through repeated washings. We recommend washing every 1-2 months.

Will this protector make me sleep hot?

No. The TPU membrane is breathable - it blocks liquids but allows air to pass through. Combined with the organic cotton jersey fabric, it regulates temperature rather than trapping heat. This is a significant difference from vinyl-backed protectors, which are not breathable.

Does this mattress protector make noise or crinkle?

No. Unlike vinyl or PVC-backed protectors, our TPU waterproof membrane is completely silent. The organic cotton jersey on both sides gives it a soft, fabric-like feel - you won't hear or feel the waterproof layer at all.

Can I use a mattress protector over the wool topper?

Yes, and we recommend it. Place the wool topper on your mattress, then layer a fitted mattress protector over the topper, followed by your fitted sheet. This protects both the topper and the mattress from spills while keeping everything securely in place.
