Will PLA release micro-plasitcs?
PLA is technically a type of plastic, but unlike most polyesters, it's made from plant sugars rather than petroleum. While all fibers can gradually break down with heavy wear over time, especially plastics, our PLA is used inside the pillow and protected by multiple organic cotton encasements, so it isn't directly exposed during normal use. PLA offers a healthier alternative to petroleum-based synthetic fills and can help to reduce reliance on materials commonly associated with micro-plastics.
