How to Choose Between Our Mattress Brands

When selecting the brand that makes the most sense for you, there are several things to consider. Will you be putting your new mattress on an adjustable base? Do you and your partner have different comfort preferences? Do certifications matter to you? Is durability important? What about motion disturbance? Is breathability and temperature control a consideration? Do you prefer a "cushioned" feel or one that articulates to the natural curves of your body? Coils or no coils? What is your budget? Visiting the showroom with some of these questions answered will help steer the conversation and make your visit more productive, easier, enjoyable, and successful.

While all of our brands are adjustable base friendly, only Naturepedic and Vispring offer dual comfort options for couples that need different levels of firmness to achieve maximum comfort. SLEEP365 and Naturepedic are independent third-party certified organic, but a natural Vispring luxury bed will offer the ultimate in temperature control and durability. SLEEP365 and Naturepedic both offer all-latex and hybrid options whereas Vispring invented the pocket spring 125 years ago, and springs remains the hallmark of their legacy of quality and comfort to this day. SLEEP365 will be more cost conscious while Vispring rewards a successful life with corresponding level of luxury and prestige.

Organic Mattress FAQs

The healthiest mattress is one whose finished product is certified — GOTS for cotton and wool, GOLS for latex — and that contains no polyurethane foam, no chemical flame retardants, and no fiberglass. Every mattress we carry meets that bar: SLEEP365® and Naturepedic® are GOTS/GOLS certified (Naturepedic is also MADE SAFE® certified), and Vispring uses only natural fibers. The "healthiest" pick then comes down to the feel and support your body needs — which is what our showroom advisors help you find.

The least toxic mattresses avoid polyurethane foam, chemical flame retardants, fiberglass, and synthetic adhesives entirely — rather than just adding an organic layer on top. None of the mattresses we carry contain any of these; natural wool serves as the flame barrier because it's naturally flame-resistant.

Organic mattresses cost more upfront because certified materials — organic latex, wool, and cotton — cost more than synthetic foam. In return you avoid off-gassing and chemical flame retardants, sleep cooler, and get a mattress that typically lasts longer than foam. All three of our brands are built to be decade-plus investments.

A certified organic mattress carries third-party certifications — GOTS for textiles like cotton and wool, GOLS for latex — that verify the finished mattress, not just individual materials. If a mattress is sold as "natural" or "eco-friendly" without a finished-product certification, ask what's actually inside it.
